Converting to independent status - Guidance for NHS Charities

The Guidance for NHS Charities is now available on the Department of Health website at
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/how-nhs-charities-can-convert-to-independent-status

This Guidance has been prepared by the Association with input from the Department of Health and the Charity Commission. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has been involved in this project, especially Alison Paines at Withers LLP, who undertook the vast majority of the project, and Stuart Reynolds, Keith Brooks and James Varley for their invaluable contributions and support.

This is a wide-ranging document which is intended to introduce all relevant topics but, if, after reading the Guidance, you do have any queries, then the Association is offering a help desk facility - with support from Withers LLP on any legal issues - up to the point when the decision to move to independence has been made.

If you want to contact the helpdesk, or would like any further assistance, please send an email to info@assoc-nhs-charities.org.uk or call 08454 635328.
Calls cost 5p per minute plus your network access charge

To enable us to maintain our records, it would be helpful if you could please let us know if you decide to go down the independence route.
